Machet in Bahasa(Indonesian) means traffic. Everyone knows this word because it is so prevalent in the society here. That was one great thing about Singapore, there was NO traffic! Jesse has about a 5 mile commute to and from work each day and sometimes it takes him over an hour to get home. When I was coming from the airport the other day we just sat on the freeway, not moving because they closed the road for the president to come through and we were sitting there for at least 20 minutes. It's crazy, and nutty although that's just a small minus about living here. We make the best of it other ways and eventually want to buy bikes and a motorbike so we don't have to deal with that.
